How Super Intern Ran Our 3-Week Giveaway (While We Watched)

A few weeks ago, our team at AMMO decided to boost Super Intern's visibility on Top.gg by launching a three-week giveaway campaign. The premise was simple: invite users to vote for Super Intern on the platform, and offer them a chance to share prize pools in return.

What surprised us was how much of the operational work was handled not by our team, but by Super Intern itself.

Here's how it worked, and what we learned in the process.

The Giveaway Setup

We ran three consecutive giveaway rounds, each lasting 7 days. Community members could vote for Super Intern on Top.gg, then return to our Discord server to check their vote status and enter the prize drawing.

While this sounds straightforward, such campaigns typically demand significant manual effort: answering "Did my vote count?" questions, sending reminders, and running transparent lotteries.

This is where Super Intern transformed the process.

Task 1: Instant Vote Verification

Instead of having moderators manually confirm votes, we created a Check Vote Mode in a dedicated Discord channel.

Users could simply tag @Baby AMMO (our Super Intern's name in the AMMO server) and ask, "Check my vote". With the Top.gg vote-check Mode, the intern would instantly look up their status and respond.

No human intervention needed. No delays. Just accurate, immediate replies even during off-hours.

Task 2: Personalized Vote Reminders

Top.gg allows one vote every 12 hours per user. Rather than sending blanket reminders to the entire community, Super Intern provided personalized nudges.

When a user who hadn't voted interacted with the intern, it would gently remind them that they could vote now and provide the voting link directly.

This approach felt more like a helpful teammate than a broadcast system, and significantly improved repeat participation.

Task 3: Custom HTML Lottery System

For each giveaway round, we used Super Intern's HTML Page Mode to create a custom lottery webpage.

The page was designed with weighted entries—users with more votes had better odds of winning. This rewarded our most active supporters while maintaining complete transparency.

Participants could watch the live drawing via the generated HTML page, seeing firsthand how their voting activity influenced their chances.

The Bigger Picture: Modes as Flexible Building Blocks

What impressed us most was how little custom development was actually required.

The vote checking used a simple ‘Check Vote Mode’, a customized Mode anyone can build easily in Super Intern's admin panel. The lottery used the flexible HTML Page Mode, where we just described what we needed in plain language.

No coding, no complex deployments. We configured the Modes and let them run.

Beyond Giveaways: Other Ways We Use Super Intern

This campaign was just one example of how we're using Super Intern across marketing and team coordination:

  • Image Generation Mode: Our marketing team brainstorms visuals in real-time during Discord discussions, creating draft posters or social assets without leaving the chat.
  • Project Q&A Mode: Team members can ask about project status ("What's the latest on the X integration?") and get answers grounded in our internal documentation.
  • Daily Recap Mode: At day's end, the intern summarizes key discussions and decisions, ensuring nobody misses important updates.

We're not just building this product, we're using it daily. And each week, we discover new ways to let the intern handle repetitive tasks so we can focus on work that truly requires human insight.

Final Thoughts

What used to mean late nights and manual checks became an automated, smooth-running campaign. Super Intern handled the logistics while our team focused on strategy and community engagement.

If you're part of a community, marketing team, or startup looking to automate workflows without developer help, I encourage you to experiment with Modes. You might be surprised how much time you reclaim.
