The internet has always evolved along two threads:
- Tools: how do we work with machines, the human-machine paradigm.
- Connections: how do we relate to each other, the human-human paradigm.
For years, these two threads evolved together. Every leap in tools unlocked a leap in connection.
From static webpages, to social networks, to algorithmic feeds. Tools evolve along the line of being smarter and more proactive. And each time the tools leap forward, it unlocks the global connection to be more linked and intertwined.
Zooming out, these two trajectories have always moved in resonance, amplifying one another.
Until now.
The break
AI has made tools unimaginably smart, tools have never been more powerful.
But connections? They are lagged behind.
AI right now is a solo experience. It’s you, alone with a chatbot—in all kinds of forms.
We’ve been so focused on building AI that understands me, that we forgot to build AI that understands us.
Why it matters
Human society doesn’t run on solo genius. It runs on groups. Conversations. Relationships.
The biggest decisions in our life—what job to take, where to live, who to love, what to believe—didn’t happen in isolation. They happened through dialogue. With others.
Yet today’s AI is almost entirely absent from those moments.
It’s the smartest tool ever built, placed into the most isolated context: one-on-one.
And that’s the missing half.
AI works in vertices, not edges.
A Different Vision
So what would it look like if AI truly entered human connections?
It wouldn’t be just an assistant.
It would be a bridge. An AI agent that helps a team debate better, helps friends plan a trip together, helps communities co-create, and helps families retrieve precious memory.
An AI that doesn’t just answer, it facilitates.
That’s why I don’t like the term “Agentic Internet.” It only talks about the machine and drops the human-human part.
I prefer Symbiotic Internet. It’s not human–AI (the human–machine paradigm), but human–AI–human (the human–human paradigm).
Where AI works between people, not just for people.

Why now
Internet’s fundamental two questions IMHO:
- Tools: how do we work with machines, the human-machine paradigm.
- Connections: how do we relate to each other, the human-human paradigm.
Tool has significantly improved, connection needs to catch up.
We believe the next big shift is AI that brings us together, deeper, smarter, more humanly.
It’s not always about how smart AI is (the human–machine paradigm).
It’s even more about how well it brings us together (the human–human paradigm).
And that’s a future worth building.
